Queen Nicole

“I was quite nervous attending the studio for the first time, but the minute I stepped in the door I felt welcomed. I was shown through the studio, and I was greeted by many students, which as a bigger girl made me feel so happy inside!”

Q: What is your favourite part of class?

A: Getting to witness my pole sisters nailing a trick or choreo! The support we get from our fellow pole sisters is amazing!

Q: Do you perform/compete? Is this something you did before pole?

A: I used to dance ballroom many moons ago so I was used to competing, my first comp had me so nervous as a bigger girl but honestly I have never felt more supported and encouraged. I love performing in our show nights and I can’t wait to do more comps.

Any encouragement you have for ladies that are thinking of trying pole?

Come and try it, you won’t find a more loving and supportive sisterhood than Queens of Pole Fitness & Dance!

Queen Shelley

Having just moved to the area I was looking to improve my health and fitness (after dealing with cancer). I’m not a fan of the usual gyms and I wanted to do something that was fun and different to engage and encourage me to “keep at it”. I had heard of Queens of Pole so looked them up online and was so happy to see they offered a Curves class, I was a little apprehensive walking into the studio the first time not knowing what to expect, but Miss Emily and the other ladies in the class were so welcoming and encouraging, I felt like I had found my tribe!
